Department of civil engineering is the core department of the institute. The department offers B. Tech. course at under graduate level and M.Tech. with specialization in structural engineering at post graduate level.

Salient Features

The highly qualified and experienced faculties provide technical knowledge to groom the students. The department is full-fledged with well equipped laboratories. Computerized universal testing machine, computerized triaxial shear test apparatus, total station machines, consolidation apparatus are some of the salient equipments. The students are professionally trained by skilled staff and trainers. The department is strongly committed to foster technical competence, effective communication, and teamwork with leadership skills in students for their successful careers. The students are exposed to various activities like software and industrial training ,technical visits, seminar, workshop, expert lectures, and internships etc. Communication skills, aptitude skills, CAD and proficiency, design skills, material testing, site development, database design, planning, conceptual skills, legal compliance drafting, lisp, problem solving leads to overall development as professional personnel to achieve the best Placement.

Dr. Atul Agrawal is an Associate Professor, CSE Department, Sushila Devi Bansal College of Engineering, Indore (MP). He has 15 years of teaching experiences in reputed group like Bansal Group of Institutions, Bhopal, Acropolis Group, Indore. His area of interest in Machine Learning, Data Science, Data Analytics, Theory of Computation, DBMS, R, C, C++, Java, Python. He has one patent and various research paper in international conference and journals. He is a life time member of ISTE and International Association of Engineers Origination.

Objective

A student’s extracurricular and soft skill developments are just as vital as his/her academic development for the holistic development of the student. The concepts learnt in the class needs to be reinforced by various activities. Keeping this in mind, the Department of Civil Engineering established the " Artistry ” Club.

The club enables and encourages the students to work with one another and explore civil engineering through activities such as competitions, workshops, seminars etc. The objectives of the club are:

  1. To impart skills related to inception, formulation, development and execution of an idea.
  2. To teach students to work in a team and tackle complex problems
  3. To enhance drawing and model making skills in a software.
  4. To raise awareness and encourage the students to strive for a better future.
  5. 2 D, 3 D drawing competitions, Modeling & Designing of Multi Storey Buildings, workshops, seminars and many other activities are being organized by the department for overall development of the students.

  2. To motivate Students to learn with enthusiasm.
  3. Time management.

The Civil Engineering Department at Sushila Devi Bansal College, Indore is all set to host an Expert Talk, ”इंजीनियरआजऔरकल’ by renowned Engineer Er. AtulSheth on Monday, 1st August 2022. MrAtulSheth would deliver a discourse on the changes in the construction industry and the opportunities and challenges for civil engineers in the modern era.
